"That's right! I am now answering all of your ghoulish      questions! Just submit your queries below and I will answer  them here. George and I will shed some light on that faint, distant memory that you think you remember.....we hope! Remember it's been 40 years and counting! Oh and NO I was not married to Janie"
                                                                                                             Sammy Terry

Q:Sammy,
Please give us a hint about any upcoming vintage video releases!!!!  I can't wait!
A:THERE ARE NONE SCHEDULED AT THIS TIME BUT KEEP WATCHING THIS WEB SITE.  WE'LL LET YOU KNOW WHEN ANOTHER BECOMES AVAILABLE FROM THE WITCHES CAULDRON.

Q:I'd like to know the ingredients for a Type-O cocktail. And is that shaken or
just stirred?
Towerbuddha (Indianapolis)
A:ALL INGREDIENTS ARE NATURAL AND JUST THE SAME AS WHEN THEY WERE ORIGINALLY DONATED AND STORED IN MY CAVERNOUS UNDERGROUND BLOOD BANK AT NATURAL PLANET TEMPERATURE AND HUMIDITY TO GUARANTEE FRESHNESS.

Q:It's an honor to speak to you Sammy.  I hope you are
doing well.  What was your favorite horror movie to present on your show and who
is your favorite horror actor of all time?  I know I speak for everybody when I
say we all look forward to spending Friday and Saturday nights with you again.
God bless you Sammy
A:THERE ARE SO MANY EXCEPTIONALLY GOOD FILMS IN THE 30'S AND 40'S I CAN'T CHOOSE JUST ONE NOR CAN I PICK OUT ONE ACTOR.  IF YOU WOULD PUT ME ON THE RACK OR HANG ME UPSIDE DOWN IN MANACLES, I WOULD CHOOSE LON CHANEY AND BORIS KARLOF AND KING KONG AND THE HUNCHBACK OF NOTRE DAME.

Q:How important was Jerrald Hawkins and sammyterry.com to the return of Sammy Terry?
burn74purple@Yahoo.com
A:JERRALD HAWKINS HAS BEEN SUCH AN AWFUL ADDITION TO THE SAMMY TERRY TEAM THAT WE WOULD DIE WITHOUT HIM.

QWhen did the original run for the show end and what year was it brought back?
A:AS BEST AS I CAN REMEMBER, THE FIRST HIATUS OCCURRED ABOUT 1965 AND THEN THE SHOW CONTINUED IN ABOUT ONE YEAR.  IF ANYONE KNOWS FOR SURE LET ME KNOW SO I CAN GIVE MORE ACCURATE ANSWERS.  AFTER SO MANY YEARS IN A RECLINING TELEPHONE BOOTH, MEMORIES TEND TO BECOME JUMBLED LIKE BRAINS AND EGGS.

Q:Sammy... I have a dynamite idea for you and I to do for
the fans. Mr. Bob Carter, my father-in-law is Bob Wagner. My mother-in-law is
Thelma Wagner. They tell me that they see you from time to time at the United
Methodist Church on Bluff Road. Bob Wagner tells me that you used to be his son's
(Doug Wagner) Boy Scout Troupe Leader back in "the good ol'days". I'm busting at
the seams for you and I to do this project together. It is something that all
TRUE Sammy Terry Fans will want (I would!). I just purchased a Vintage 1970's
"Ghoul-green" T-shirt with your image thereupon, from eBay! No one was gonna
outbid ME! I love you Soooooo much, that I made a 12" inch action figure of you
(with George and the reclining telephone booth). Let's you and I get together and
do this project for the fans... it would only take an hour on your behalf, and
your part would be done! Pleeeeze, Sammy!  Your "Huge" fan-- TERRY Byrd
A: TERRY BYRD, YOU HAVE A HORRIBLE IDEA WHICH MANY OTHERS SHARE WITH YOU INCLUDING ME.  HOPEFULLY AN ACTION FIGURE AND OTHER ITEMS WILL BE ADDED TO THE WEBSITE STORE IN THE FUTURE.  EVERYTHING TAKES TIME AND FINANCES BUT HANG IN THERE.  TELL BOB AND THELMA HI.  WE DON'T SEE EACH OTHER AS MUCH AS I WOULD LIKE.  INCIDENTALLY, THE SHIRT IS A FORGERY.  I NEVER HAD A GREEN ONE.  I AM TAKING STEPS TO PREVENT IT HAPPENING AGAIN.  KEEP IN TOUCH.  IF YOU FIND SOMETHING NOT ON THE WEBSITE, CHECK WITH ME FIRST FOR AUTHENTICITY.

Q:How did you prepare for the typical Nightmare Theatre
taping?  Did you write your own material?
Nommisrep@aol.com
A: I DON'T PREPARE FOR TYPICAL NIGHTMARE THEATRE.  I SIMPLY WAIT FOR A GHASTLY NIGHTMARE THAT FITS THE STORY LINE OF THE MOVIE THEN START WRITING.  I DON'T KNOW WHICH WAS MORE HORRIBLE, THE NIGHTMARE OR MY WRITING.  YOU DECIDE.

Q:Do you ever plan on doing an autobiography?  I would love
(and I am sure many others would too)to be able to own a book that filled with
pictures from the show and your history, etc.  Thanks and for all the pleasant
nightmares!!!  Cathy in Columbus
A:WE ARE WRITING A BOOK NOW, WATCH THIS WEBSITE FOR MORE INFO.

Q:Hi,
I work with the developmentally delayed. My clients are huge fans of yours as I
am. WE have ordered several items from your gift shop....We love you!!!! If you
would ever consider meeting your fan club ... let me know...
Thanks, Tamara
rataau00@insightbb.com
A: I ADMIRE YOUR WORK WITH THE DEVELOPMENTALLY DELAYED.  THEY ARE AMONG MY FINEST FANS.  I HOPE WE HAVE SOME MORE ITEMS THEY WILL ENJOY IN THE FUTURE.  THERE WILL BE SOME PERSONAL APPEARANCES THIS FALL PROBABLY.  WE'LL GIVE YOU MORE INFO LATER.  I'll GUARANTEE YOU'LL HAVE A TERRIBLE TIME.

Q:Who created the words to the 60's opening ?
A:THAT'S AN AWFUL QUESTION.  I'M SURE IT HAS A HORRIBLE ANSWER. IT WAS ME.

Q: When was Sammy Terry first televised?
A: Sammy Terry first appeared on Indiana airwaves in 1962 on WTTV. The first movie shown was one of my favorites, The Mummy staring Boris Karloff. The wraps were live and unscripted for the first few episodes!

Q: What happened on Sammy Terry's 10'th Anniversary Show?
A: When WTTV celebrated the 10'th anniversary of Sammy Terry's Nightmare Theatre, it was a major event for the state. Peggy Campbell, press secretary to then Governor Edgar Whitcomb presented me with a proclamation that proclaimed that "as the moon covers over the horizon on October 31, 1972 it will be Sammy Terry Day throughout the state of Indiana and urge fellow Hoosier citizens to recognize this memorable day by being sad". Other notable guests to appear included Bob "NooooooBody" Catterson, Dick the Bruiser, TV columnist Dick Shull and Channel 13's all night movie host, Jack O'Hara. Bud Borchert, movie host from WTHI in Terre Haute sent in a tape. Jim Wells from the Sheriff's Dept. and Sid Collins, Voice of the 500, stopped by. Mayor Lugar sent a citation naming me "Ghoul Extraordinaire". WISH TV newsman Mike Ahern sent in a video greeting as did Cincinnati's WXIX horror host "The Cool Ghoul". The Usher Funeral Home provided a hearse and driver which took me on a whirlwind trip to all the major cemeteries and mausoleums throughout the city. Vincent Price appeared via video tape in the opening of the casket, Price popped up to wish me a happy birthday. The entire station was part of the taping and many appeared "in character" for the show.
